Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the purchase and use of FoqusMeta, sold by Lumera Systems Private Limited ("Lumera Systems", "we", "us"), CIN U62020TN2026PTC191995, registered office 7th floor, RR Tower 4, Thiru Vi Ka Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai-600032, Chennai. By buying or using FoqusMeta, you agree to these terms.
1. Who can buy
FoqusMeta must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or above ("Parent") for a student ("Student"). Where the buyer is a student under 18, the Parent gives consent on the student’s behalf and is responsible for the student’s use.
2. What you are buying
A FoqusMeta package includes a physical focus kit and access to the FoqusMeta software apps for one student for the access period stated on the pricing page.
3. Price and payment
Prices include GST and are payable in advance through Razorpay. We do not accept cash on delivery. We issue a GST invoice for every purchase. We may change prices for future purchases; this never affects a purchase already paid for.
4. Activation
Each FoqusMeta kit is unassigned until it is activated by a paid parent account. Once activated, the kit is linked to one account and cannot be transferred.
5. Devices and permissions
FoqusMeta works on supported versions of Android, iOS, iPadOS, Windows and macOS. To protect focus sessions, it needs system permissions on each device: the Accessibility service permission on Android, Screen Time (Family Controls) authorization on iOS and iPadOS, and installing the FoqusMeta desktop agent on laptops and MacBook. Some phone manufacturers' battery settings can interrupt background services; our onboarding guide explains the settings to configure correctly. We will tell you before purchase if a student’s device model is not supported, but we cannot guarantee compatibility after future operating-system updates by device makers.
6. Milestone rewards
The Parent decides whether to reward the student, the amount, the frequency and the form of any reward. Once set for a cycle, the reward stays fixed. FoqusMeta verifies focus sessions and notifies the Parent when a milestone is met. The Parent pays any reward directly to the student. Lumera Systems does not collect, hold or transfer reward money and is not a party to any reward arrangement.
7. No guarantee of results
FoqusMeta supports consistent preparation. It does not guarantee any marks, rank, admission or exam result. It is not a medical, psychological or counselling service.
8. Acceptable use of FoqusMeta
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or sublicense the software, not to tamper with the FoqusMeta kit, and not to use this license for anyone other than the enrolled Student.
9. Kit warranty
If the FoqusMeta kit has a manufacturing defect, we will replace it free of charge within 3 days of the complaint. Loss or physical damage is not covered.
10. Cancellation and refunds
These are governed by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
11. Privacy
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
12. Intellectual property
All software, content, trademarks and designs in FoqusMeta belong to Lumera Systems Private Limited (or) its licensors. Your purchase gives a personal, non-transferable license to use the software for the access period.
13. Suspension
Lumera Systems reserves the right to suspend an account that breaches these terms, after giving notice and a chance to respond, except where immediate action is needed to prevent harm or misuse.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lumera Systems’ total liability for any claim relating to FoqusMeta is limited to the amount you paid for the package. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify Parents of material changes by email or in the software at least 15 days before they take effect.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction.
